Becoming a Permanent Resident

If I am a U.S Citizen, how can I help my family become Permanent Residents?

If you are a U.S Citizen you may help your Spouse, Children, Parents, and Siblings so that your relatives become lawful Permanent Residents also referred to as Green Card holders.  A U.S. Citizen may petition their children if they are unmarried and under 21 years of age.  The age of children is an important factor when determining how to file an immigration process.  For immigration purposes a “child” is a person who is under 21 years of age and unmarried.

If my petition was denied, can I appeal?

Yes, if the visa petition that you filed is denied, you will receive a denial letter that will provide the information on how to appeal and a strict deadline as to when to file the appeal.
